March Events at Northern Michigan Ski Resorts

March 2026

March is a big month for the three ski resorts in Northern Michigan. Boyne Mountain in Boyne Falls, and Nub’s Nob and The Highlands in Harbor Springs all host fun events to beat the winter blues.

Hops 'n Highlands

March 7th, 2026

Here's the most updated event schedule:
  • 12-5pm – Craft beer tastings & après vibes at the Main Lodge Backyard
  • 2pm – Stein Hoisting Championship. Win the title & a $150 Highlands gift card.
  • 5pm – After Party at Zoo Bar with live music from Yankee Station

 

Tickets are typically $25 each in advance and include access to the beer-tasting event, 4 sampling tickets, and a gift.

  • 12-4pm – DJ T-Bone on the Day Lodge Deck

  • 12-4pm -Blackrocks Brewery on the Day Lodge Deck
  • 2-4pm – Slush Cup Slushies
  • 4-8pm – Live Music with The Remedee at the Zoo Bar
  • 5-7pm – Fireball & Corazon Tasting at the Zoo Bar

Carnival Weekend at Boyne Mountain

This fun, 3-day event is recommended for adults who want to act like kids again.

  • 12-3pm – Patio & Pool Party with live music featuring Mild Pulp on Stein Eriksen’s Patio
  • 3:30-5pm – Cold Plunge & Portable Sauna Party with live music featuring Saxu4ia on Stein Eriksen’s Patio
  • 6-8pm – Slopeside Apres with live music featuring Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers on Stein Eriksen’s Patio
  • 9pm-12am – Victor’s Victory Party with DJ Bill Da Cat at the Snowflake Lounge
Sunday, March 22nd, 2026
  • 11:30am-1pm – Slush Cup with DJ Sam Hauxwell
  • 1-3pm – The After Splash with DJ at the Back Forty

Mardi Gras at Nub's Nob

Here's what happened in 2025:

  • 9-10:30am – Registration for The Dorie Sarns Challenge in the lobby.
  • 9am-1:30pm – Registration for the Silly Slalom in the lobby.
  • 9am-2pm – Registration for Soaker Cup in the lobby.
  • 9am-3:15pm – Registration for the Costume Contest in the lobby.
  • 10am – Fat Tire Boogie- Mountain biking down a ski slope. Three age groups- 12 and under, 13-17 and 18 and over. Cost is $1.
  • 11am – Crazy Kids & Mogul Muncher’s Silly Slalom at Big Time for those age 20 and under.
  • 12pm – The Dorie Sarns Challenge- A modified dual GS race on Birch Run. Awards for the top three finishers in these age divisions: age 8 and under, 9-12, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50 and over. Cost is $1.
  • 12-2pm – Live music featuring the Jelly Roll Blues Band in the Winter Garden
  • 1:30pm – Silly Slalom for teams of 2 people age 21 and over. Cost is $1. Grand Prize is a $200 Cool Cash Card.
  • 2:30pm – Soaker Cup for all skiers. Ski across Lake Nubs without falling in. Winner receives a $200.00 Cool Cash Card. $1 entry fee.
  • 3:30pm – Costume Judging on the deck. $200 Cool Cash Card for first prize and $100 for second and third. No charge. Age groups: 12 and under, 13-17, and 18 and older.
  • 3:30-5:30pm – Live music featuring MYK Rise in the Winter Garden.
