Outdoor Music in Northern Michigan

June-September 2026

After a busy day at the beach or at work, it’s time to kick back and relax a while. What better way than to listen to some music? You can find performances almost any night of the week in various communities of Northern Michigan. Area musicians as well as professional traveling groups are featured in these summertime performances. For the outdoor venues, grab your lawnchair or a blanket and get ready to be entertained. Outdoor performances are free; there may be a charge for an indoor venue performance. Below is the typical schedule for summer music. Stay tuned as events for 2023 will be added as information becomes available!

Here's the typical schedule for outdoor, summer performances Up North:

Sundays

  • Early July-mid August from 6:30-8:30pm – Music in the Park at Marina Park- 250 E. Bay St., Harbor Springs

Wednesdays

  • Mid June-Mid August 15th from 12-1pm – Charlotte Ross Lee Concerts in the Park at Pennsylvania Park- 411 E. Lake St., Petoskey. Musicians perform in the park’s gazebo.
  • Late June-Late August from 6:30-8pm – Summer Music Series at the Old City Park Gazebo- 223 River St., Boyne City
  • Late June-Late August at 6:30pm – Pavilion Summer Concerts at Veterans Memorial Park, 201 N. Lake St., Boyne City

Thursdays

  • Late June-Late August from 6:30-8:30pm – Street Musique in Harbor Springs. Located on Main St. Musicians bring their talent to various locations throughout the business district. Click here for the lineup.
  • Select Thursdays from Late June-Late August from 6:30-8pm – Music in the Park on Mackinac Island. Located at Marquette Park- 7200 Huron St. With a spectacular backdrop, this summer concert series is downtown across from the marina, at the foothills of Historic Fort Mackinac. Bring a picnic and enjoy the best of Americana music. All concerts are free. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs for your comfort. Rain location at Mission Point Theater.   • Every Thursday in July at 7:30pm – Jordan Valley Community Band performs at Memorial Park Bandshell- 101 Spring St., East Jordan

Fridays

  • Mid June-Late August from 6-9pm – Stroll the Streets in downtown Boyne City. Music on the streets in the downtown area.
  • Late June-Mid August from 12-1pm – Charlotte Ross Lee Concerts in the Park at Pennsylvania Park- 411 E. Lake St., Petoskey. Musicians perform in the park’s gazebo.
  • Early July-Early August from 7-9pm – Music in the Park at Memorial Park- 101 Spring St., East Jordan
  • Mid July-Early from 6:30-8:30pm – Music in the Park at Marina Park- 250 E. Bay St., Harbor Springs
