Outdoor Music in Northern Michigan

After a busy day at the beach or at work, it’s time to kick back and relax a while. What better way than to listen to some music? You can find performances almost any night of the week in various communities of Northern Michigan. Area musicians as well as professional traveling groups are featured in these summertime performances. For the outdoor venues, grab your lawnchair or a blanket and get ready to be entertained. Outdoor performances are free; there may be a charge for an indoor venue performance. Below is the typical schedule for summer music. Stay tuned as events for 2023 will be added as information becomes available!

Here's the typical schedule for outdoor, summer performances Up North:

Sundays

Every other Sunday from July 5th-August 16th, 2026 from 4-6pm – Music in the Park at Marina Park- 250 E. Bay St., Harbor Springs

Wednesdays

June 17th-August 12th, 2026 from 12-1pm (no concert on July 8th) – Charlotte Ross Lee Concerts in the Park at Pennsylvania Park- 411 E. Lake St., Petoskey. Musicians perform in the park’s gazebo.
June 24th-August 26th, 2026 from 6:30-8pm (no concert on July 1st) – Evenings at the Gazebo at the Old City Park Gazebo- 223 River St., Boyne City
Late June-Late August at 6:30pm – Pavilion Summer Concerts at Veterans Memorial Park, 201 N. Lake St., Boyne City

Thursdays

June 25th-August 20th, 2026 from 6:30-8:30pm – Street Musique in Harbor Springs. Located on Main St. Musicians bring their talent to various locations throughout the business district. Click here for the lineup.
June 25th-August 27th, 2026 (no concert on August 6th) from 6:30-8pm – Music in the Park on Mackinac Island. Located at Marquette Park- 7200 Huron St. With a spectacular backdrop, this summer concert series is downtown across from the marina, at the foothills of Historic Fort Mackinac. Bring a picnic and enjoy the best of Americana music. All concerts are free. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs for your comfort. Rain location at Mission Point Theater. Every Thursday in July at 7:30pm – Jordan Valley Community Band performs at Memorial Park Bandshell- 101 Spring St., East Jordan

Fridays

June 12th-September 4th, 2026 (no music on July 10th) from 6-9pm – Stroll the Streets in downtown Boyne City. Music on the streets in the downtown area.
June 19th-August 14th, 2026 from 12-1pm – Charlotte Ross Lee Concerts in the Park at Pennsylvania Park- 411 E. Lake St., Petoskey. Musicians perform in the park’s gazebo.
